Early June always sees the return of the Downtown Seattle Association / MID Annual Meeting, taking place again this year at Seattle’s Fifth Avenue Theatre. Talkin’ Politics in Seattle

Last Thursday, June 6, the Downtown Seattle Association hosted their Mayoral Candidate Forum (along with support the Civic Alliance for a Sound Economy (CASE), the Seattle Hotel Association, the Seattle Restaurant Alliance and Visit Seattle) at Seattle’s Westin Hotel. A crowd of about 150 Seattle business folks and curious-types attended to hear the platforms and pitches of Current Mayor Mike McGinn, information-systems consultant Joey Gray, City Councilmember Bruce Harrell, Greenwood Activist Kate Martin, Socialist Workers Party candidate Mary Martin, state Senator Ed Murray, businessman Charlie Staadecker and former City Councilmember Peter Steinbrueck.
